Three days ago the Millburn Academy Eagles claimed their place up against the Raptors, who had qualified in the previous week having gone unbeaten all season. The Eagles finished on five wins and three losses. The Millburn side were closely followed in third place by the Inverness High School Predators on 4-4 but a loss to the unstoppable Culloden squad saw them knocked out of contention.
Mark Paulin, Head Coach of the Culloden Academy Raptors said, “Even though there’s been a couple of teams that have struggled because they have younger players, it’s been pretty competitive between the top three teams.”
The Highland Bowl will kick off at 1pm at the Bught Park and will be preceded with an exhibition game. This match up will see a development squad from HACL made up of the Black Isle Stags and the Charleston Academy Knights take on the new National League team, the Moray Tide. The Wildcats will be taking on the Moray Tide in the National League season later on this year and this will be a good chance to see the standard of the new squad.
