The Wolves started off the match strongly with a promising opening drive up the field but they couldn’t capitalise and the ball was turned over to the Wildcats. On the opening play of the drive Seumas Ross scored a 45 yard  touchdown. The conversion attempt which followed was unsuccessful leaving the score at 6-0 to the Wildcats.

The Wolves drive which followed was unsuccessful resulting in a turn over on downs which the Wildcats took full advantage of as Mark Pyper charged 33 yards up the field to gain good field position. The drive resulted in Euan Trommino scoring a 12 yard receiving touchdown. The conversion was unsuccessful and the Wildcats were now leading the game by 12 points.

A few drives later Pyper rushed to score a 45 yard touchdown to increase the lead to 18 points at the two minute warning.

On the following Wolves drive they failed to gain the ground they needed but Wildcats Cornerback Haris Ryalls showed a strong display of sportsmanship by assisting players he had tackled back on their feet.

On the last play of the half Seumas Ross scored his 6th touchdown of the tournament. As the conversion attempt was incomplete the teams went into the halftime break with the scores at 24-0 to the Wildcats.

After the break the Wildcats didn’t take long to score again as Ross completed yet another 45 yard touchdown. giving the Wildcats a 30 point lead over the proceedings. The Wolves were then unsuccessful in their next drive.

WolvesPyper then scored a 10 yard receiving touchdown which followed receptions from both Euan Trommino and Thomas Mackenzie. The conversion attempt which followed was unsuccessful but the Wildcats were now 36 points ahead of the Wolves. The Wolves then had another unsuccessful drive which ended at the two minute warning.

After the two minute warning the Wildcats had possession of the ball and Wide Receiver Thomas Mackenzie made 6 yards. The Wildcats were then on the 11 yard line and Kyle Holleyoake received a pass from Quarterback Euan Crawford to gain 18 more yards. Trommino then scored a 10 yard receiving touchdown as a result of that play. The conversion was incomplete leaving the score at 42-0.

The Wolves did leave the match on high though as their number 80 received the ball to score! The score at the end of the match was 42-6 to the Wildcats as the Wolves conversion attempt was no good.

The coaches chose Seumas Ross as MVP who scored multiple touchdowns through out the match and gained big yards nearly every time he walked onto the field.
